It WAS a WHITE Christmas!

You may not have known it, but it was a White Christmas - at the crossroads of Rt 41 and 35 it was anyway. Our friends at Crossroads Christian Church took it upon themselves to "TP" The Well and they collected enough toilet paper to pack the back of a pickup truck (and some of the cab too!)

	Thank you Crossroads!

Servants of The Well take time to pose before unloading the truckload of toilet paper collected by our friends at Crossroads Christian Church.

If you have an idea for a special collection you'd like to do for The Well - have at it! We are always in need of personal care items (tooth paste, tooth brushes, soaps, shampoo, deoderant, and toilet paper.) We also tend to run short on children's clothing, bedding and towels.

	Have a blessed day!

Paper Plate Testimonies

The Well is participating with the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Food Banks in collecting paper plate testimonies - where people accessing our services share their story by writing it on a paper plate.

Below are some of their stories. I have typed them exactly as they are written.

Mom died of cancer

I lost my job after 4 years of being an assistant mgr at a major hotel chain. My mom was given 2 wks to a month to live - she was dying of cancer. I came back home after a month of being with her & seeing her cross over to losing my car, struggling iwth bills, and having a hard time of paying my rent. Working as a waitress on a on-call basis. I had 2 years of good experience and when applying for a job - all you get told is that you ar over qualified. I'm having a real tuff time with the holiday coming - we just make the best with what we have.

Will the food last?

I have 3 small kids ages 9 yrs & under and my husband & I are expecting another baby in January Not a great idea I know but life happens. I often worry about how much food gets eaten in a days time because I'm afraid its not gonna last us as long as it needs too. I want to enjoy life and enjoy my kids being little but I find myself always stressed out just trying to survive EVERYDAY.

I work, but...

My name is R. and I work. But this helps me. thanks to every-one who contributes. I helps me provide clothes and extra things I can't provide because of my house payments & utility bills, and my husbands layoff.

Food or electricity?

I don't have enough money to pay rent, utility bills, & groceries. I have to decide whether to buy groceries that week or let a utility go for another week. Not on any assistance. Don't qualify because of income. A lot of people are working and unable to get any help and really need it to help get by week to week.

Past mistakes impacting today.

My husband has a felongy which he did make a mistake but he can now not find a job for 2 years now and he has always worked we have 2 kids and I dont work I get social security due to health reasons he does do side jobs when they come up for him Good Lord I wish someone would just give him a chance to show he is a good worker and a good person. I thank God for all the help we get.

Mother of two gets sick

I am a mother of two and I have struggled to put food on my table I have worked and got sick went on Social Security and I want a part time job, but there is none. So I rely on Food Stamps to feed my kids and I dont get enough for that. Please dont take help from the less fortunate.

Family of 9 lives together

I have a family of 9 people living in the same house my husband has a job an his grandfather get SSI and thats all the income we have. We use all of our sources to help with food such as welfare and food banks. WE have to use help with our bills from local churches and Community Action If we were all not living together it would be even mmore difficult to get our bills paid. Thanks you for listening BT.

There's someone who cares

Lost Job and Have a hard Time with the way The aconamy is. This Place and Place's like it helps us to feel like There's some one how cares.

Single mom

Hi my name is T. Wondering how we are going to get a new place to live and weather or not my kids are warm. jobs are hard to find and let alone finding a house. But we try and do the best we can.
Poem by a Friend of The Well

This poem was written by one of our friends at The Well and shared with us today.

Full Well

When we stumble, sometimes falter,

Jesus is our well, that's full of water.

He'll forgive us of our sin,

only if we let him in.

This Full Well, will never run dry,

Take of it, and you'll see why.

By: Bonnie Mathias
